| Library Media Specialist -Elementary | 2026 LMS | Clyde-Savannah Central Schools is pursuing a highly qualified candidate for the position of Library Media Specialist. The Elementary School Library Media Specialist fosters a love of reading, supports literacy development, and empowers students to become effective users of information and technology. This role involves collaborating with teachers, managing the school library program, and providing instruction in information literacy, digital citizenship, and research skills. Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Curate and maintain a diverse, developmentally appropriate library collection.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library and information skills into classroom instruction.
- Provide direct instruction in research strategies, technology tools, and digital literacy.
- Promote reading through programs, events, and individual guidance.
- Manage library operations, including circulation, cataloging, and budgeting.
- Support students and staff in the use of digital resources and educational technology.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment within the library.
