The Clyde-Savannah Central School district has an opening for a School Social Worker or Counselor. The successful candidate will serve as a School Social Worker as described below:
Responsibilities include:
• Connecting students and families with school and community-based resources • Identify and promote internal use of community-based services directly and in a consultation role • Implement and promote anti-bullying programs and strategies • Develop and case manage Tier 3 plans • Providing case management for students and families requiring multiple resources • Providing school-based counseling per IEP, 504 or student support plan • Promote social-emotional well-being of students in classrooms, lunch groups, restorative practices, etc. • Serve as building based DASA Coordinator • Develop functional behavioral assessment and behavior intervention plans in collaboration with other mental health professionals • Serve as member of Crisis Response Team • Respond as needed in crisis situations • Participate in IEP, 504 meetings • Maintain knowledge of graduation pathways, credits • Serve as member of school support team • Utilize data to monitor attendance, behavior, academics and collaborate with building team, families and students on appropriate interventions to ensure students remain on-track • Lead attendance monitoring, reporting, and outreach efforts • Collaborate with school counselors on fostering community partnerships in the region for career exploration

New York State certification as a School Social Worker; and/or NYS certification as a School Counselor; and/or NYS Office of Professions Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
