The Clyde-Savannah Central School District has an opening for a UPK Teacher.
The UPK Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for preschool-aged children. The teacher plans and delivers developmentally appropriate instruction that promotes children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth while preparing them for kindergarten success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons aligned with state early learning standards.
Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence.
Support children's social-emotional development through positive guidance and classroom management techniques.
Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of developmental milestones.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
Collaborate with special education staff, intervention specialists, and support personnel as needed.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
Participate in school events, professional development opportunities, staff meetings, and parent conferences.
Ensure compliance with all district, state, and licensing requirements related to early childhood education.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the school day.
Work Environment
The UPK Teacher works in a child-centered elementary school setting and is expected to create an inclusive, welcoming environment that supports the success of all students
