Job Description

The Clyde-Savannah Central School District has an opening for an Early Childhood Speech Language Pathologist (10 months + summer hours). Speech/language therapy for UPK-K, UPK coordination

  • Delivery of CSE and CPSE approved services per certification or license area, for eligible students in the UPK program and Kindergarten
  • Development of IEPs, progress monitoring and reporting, attending CPSE and CSE meetings
  • Assist with initial referrals to CPSE from UPK and partner programs (ex. Head Start)
  • Serve as preschool service coordinator for CPSE students
  • Speech, language evaluations for preschool and primary grades
  • Speech, language and communication consultation
  • Push into preschool and Kindergarten classrooms for speech, language and communication skill development
  • Preschool CPSE Service Coordination for all students in UPK program and Head Start
  • Assist with meeting requirements of UPK grant deliverables
  • Assist with planning events, field trips
  • Assist and collaborate with Quality Stars Pre-Kindergarten quality assurance program, Head Start, Get Ready to Grow, community-based agencies
  • Coordinate and assist with registration and screening for incoming students, family engagement, assessment, assist with curriculum development and implementation
  • Assist with transition to Kindergarten, including summer program
  • Coordinate with administration on development of class lists and placements
  • Assist with development and submission of UPK grant application, final report, budget
  • Collaborate with clerical staff on CPSE record keeping, invoicing

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license from the NYS Office of Professions or OTI in speech/language therapy;
  • Desire to work with young learners in UPK and Kindergarten classroom and therapy settings
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple areas simultaneously
  • Leadership skills
